History of Hull Minster

Dating back to approximately 1300, Hull Minster is a Grade I listed building and the largest parish church in England. It contains what is widely considered to be some of the finest medieval brickwork in the country. With 700 years of history under its belt, it’s also seen a lot – for example, it was the starting point of the English Revolution in the city and William Wilberforce, who led the parliamentary campaign against the slave trade, was baptised here too. In November 2014, the church unveiled plans to create an outstanding venue space to benefit the whole community and to help regenerate Hull’s Old Town. As such, millions were spent renovating the space and turning it into the fantastic wedding venue that it is today.
